Produced and recorded in England by Charles Gerhardt and Kenneth Wilkinson, this is one of several distinguished recordings made in the early 60s for Readers Digest. Originally issued in a boxed set compendium of up to 12 discs, several individual performances have gained a considerable reputation among audiophiles and have been published by the likes of RCA, Chesky and Analogue Productions.
