OCTOBER 2025 - this month we will add a third category to our survey of the symphony on LP with The Symphony in the 18th Century . In common with the The Symphony in the 19th Century and The Symphony in the 20th Century collections, this selection will offer a mix of the familiar with the less familiar and represent a survey of the genre from the Sammartini brothers of the Milanese school, Stamitz of the Mannheim school up to the late works of Haydn.
We will also expand our selection of OPERA LPs, charting the first hundred years of the genre's existence. Beginning with the Florentine Camerata around 1600, the collection will reflect developments across Europe throughout the 17th century.
