A welcome addition to the catalogue, this set features six symphonies by Michael Haydn, the neglected younger brother of Josef Haydn. Composed between 1764 and 1789, the  works recorded here make an interesting introduction to the fifty symphonies he produced as court musician in the Salzburg establishment.
