Johann Christian Bach (1735 - 1782) known as “the London Bach,” the youngest son of Johann Sebastian Bach. Composer of eleven operas, he was the only member of the Bach family to write for the theatre. He also wrote many symphonies and concertos and met the young Mozart, on whom he had a lasting musical influence.
