Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ( 1756 –1791) Austrian composer and perhaps the most famous and revered figure in the history of classical music. Despite his early death his output was prodigious and he composed countless masterworks in every genre. Among his most popular works the three Da Ponte operas stand out as well as the last three symphonies and the Requiem.
