BEECHAM
Sir Thomas Beecham (29 April 1879 – 8 March 1961) was a distinguished British conductor who together with Malcolm Sargent, founded the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He later founded The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) in 1946 and conducted it until his death in 1961
Many of Beecham's later recordings with the RPO were released by EMI / His Master's Voice as part of their first Stereo ASD 3 digit LP series.
