CONCERTO
A concerto is a classical music composition featuring a soloist (such as a violin, piano, or trumpet) accompanied by an orchestra. Typically structured in three movements (fast-slow-fast), the concerto is designed to highlight the technical skill and virtuosity of the soloist while offering dynamic interaction with the orchestra.
Originating during the Baroque period (1600–1750), the concerto has been popularized by iconic composers like Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven. The form continues to evolve, with composers adding innovative elements to both the soloist's role and orchestral accompaniment, making the concerto a central and beloved genre in classical music.
