Ernest Ansermet ( 11 Nov1883 – 20 Feb 1969 ) Swiss Conductor and founder of Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR) in 1918 a tenure he held until 1967.

Ansermet made made a significant number of recordings with Decca. These recordings are among his most well-known and include works by French composers like Debussy, Ravel, Dukas, as well as other European and Russian composers such as Stravinsky.
