MARIA CALLAS

 

Maria Callas (1923–1977) also known as La Divina ("The Divine One") was a Greek-American soprano who became one of the most influential opera singers of the 20th century. Maria Callas was celebrated for her remarkable vocal range, dramatic intensity, and expressive artistry. Performances include Bellini’s Norma, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Verdi’s La Traviata, and Puccini’s Tosca.
