Antal Doráti ( 1906 – 1988) Hungarian-born conductor and composer who worked with many of the world’s leading orchestras including Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony, Royal Philharmonic and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Dorati was one of the most recorded conductors in history and left many significant recordings, including all the Tchaikovsky ballets and symphonies and brilliant interpretations of Stravinsky, Bartók, Kodály and Prokofiev.
