Collection: London Records
London Records released British pressed Decca Classical records in the U.S. under the name 'London' as Decca could not use their own name as it was already in use by a US company. From the late 1950s until the mid 1970s, London Records were pressed in the UK, using the same - or earlier - stampers as the Decca SXL releases. The London versions were often pressed first and in larger numbers than the SXL equivalents, mainly to service the far larger US market. Decca would send the finished pressings in poly-lined inner bags, but all London sleeves were designed and printed in the United States.
Some London releases were only available in the US.
