Decca UK has an outstanding reputation in classical recording and was arguably the premier classical label of the 20th century. Its reputation was built on both world-class artists and cutting-edge engineering and their technical staff, notably sound engineers Kenneth Wilkinson, Gordon Parry and James Lock, working closely with imaginative producers achieved a quality of sound  that became legendary among audiophiles.
