Ruggero Leoncavallo Italian Composer, most famous for for writing the phenomenally successful one-act opera Pagliacci. Other works include his symphonic poem La nuit de mai , the song Mattinata, popularised by Enrico Caruso and the "gipsy" opera Zingari.
